The villa

We've owned our countryside traditional stone villa, for over a decade now... and we have loved every moment. 

Across its two floors there are 3 x bedrooms (sleeping 6 very comfortably), 2 x bathroom. The layout is as follows: 

The Ground floor comprises of:

· Living room (TV, WIFI, maps, games, film projector & books)

· Kitchen (Fully kitted out including electric hob & oven, Fridge & a large drinks fridge and dishwasher)

· Outside Porch dinning area (overlooking the pool)

· Downstairs Bedroom (Double bed + AC)

· Downstairs Bathroom

The First floor has:

· Master Bedroom (Double bed + AC) – with French doors opening out onto a large veranda.

· Twin Bedroom (with twin beds + AC) – with French doors opening out onto a large veranda.

· Upstairs Bathroom – with a washing machine

· Large Veranda – split into two sections, one for shaded eating and the other for socialising. 270 degree views out to sea and mountains.  

The Outside area includes:

· Pool – with long steps that double as a pool seating.

· Patio area for sunbathing (eight sun loungers)

· Poolside Pergola – a large slightly elevated shaded area by the pool for relaxing and entertaining

· Hide away Pergola – located towards the top of the tiered garden with a large hammock.

Parking - for many cars 

As it is situated in the countryside a hire is needed. Also as is common in Crete the private road down to the villa is a little steep but once you've done it a few times it just becomes just an everyday life. 

There are extensive sea views that look out across Georgioupoli Bay, to the Psiloritis mountain range in the distance (UNESCO Global & European Geopark). The highest peak seen is Mount Ida, birthplace of the Greek God Zeus.
